On The Negative Usage Of The Interrogative "Nali"

The non-interrogative functions of interrogative pronouns,which is a veryimportant topic of modern Chinese, is very complicated.The negative usage is animportant non-interrogative function and it’s also a negative expression which isoften used in communication.Predecessors have conducted various studies on it andthey have obtained certain research results.However, they hasn’t make systematicanalysis on the research of the negative usage of the interrogative pronoun“Nali”.So,we take the negative usage of the interrogative pronoun “Nali” as theobject.The negation usage of the interrogative “Na Li” we studied constitutes thenegative expression which is composed of the interrogative pronoun “Na Li” andrhetoric questions and contextual factors.It mainly used to express negative attitudeof people or things,argumentative language force is stronger.On the micro,we made adetailed study about the form and semantics from the semantic classification andposition classification.Based on the analysis of form, the negative semanticsstructure of Na li is divided into four kinds of category: Nali+V+NP. Nali+NP. Nalialone or fold. fixed structure.From the location, the negative expression of Naliconsists of the response to connect language and the negative expression used in arhetorical question.From the perspective of pragmatics, based on the speech act theory of threerepresentative, we looked at the verbal behavior functions of Nali.The functions areconsisted of the negative statement which is more targeted, the act with indirectfunctions and the expression related to negative things position function. They allembody the unique value of the negative usage of Nali. On this basis, we studied thecontextual factors of the negative usage of Nali from macroscopic respect whichrestricted the negative representations. Reference to the firth of the classification ofcontext factors, we mainly sum up the context from two aspects, the context ofsituation and the context knowledge on the whole.This article compares the negative usage of Nali with the conventional negative usage,which not only clears about the difference between them,but also furtherclarifies the negative pragmatic functions and value.
