| Punctuation is a very important organic part of Chinese subsidiary record language. This thesis presents an overview on Chinese and Japanese punctuations, analysis and classification of the usage and errors by Japanese students studying Chinese language by finding the most frequent errors occurred from the list of52essays and test papers of Japanese students, and by comparing errors by Japanese students, especially through the study of comparison of Japanese and Chinese usage of punctuation marks within a sentence (slight-pause mark, comma, colon and semicolon). Thethesisfurther suggests a useful teaching scheme and summary by introducing the two groups within sentence. This thesis finally tries to enable students to write more appropriate article more in line with the standard punctuation, to improve the sensitivity toward the Chinese language, and to cultivate writing ability. |
