The New Analysis And Solutions Of Post-subculture’s Existence

What is the relationship between the subculture and the post-subculture? Which direction will the post-subculture develop in? The affect generated by the post-subculture as a particular culture pattern was discussed and researched in this paper. Both the exist problems and future development of this controversial cultural patterns was analyzed too. The research of the post-subculture pattern was established on the study of the early vagrant subculture, Chicago school and Birmingham school, and was combined with the social and cultural life in China today, especially the ideology of the post-modernist style. Eventually, the conception and typical characteristics of post-subculture had been illustrated. The post-subculture is a mixed, fragmental, heterogeneous culture pattern system.More research about post-subculture had been done in western academic circles than in China. Some studies borrow theories, such as popular culture, consumer culture theory, to explain post-subculture, which caused the confusion of some terms including subculture, teen culture, youth culture, mass culture and consumption culture. This behavior was disadvantageous to our understanding and studying of the contemporary cultural. The paper tried to interpret the impact of social structure, social structure and social culture made by this particular cultural pattern from a variety of perspectives, areas and phenomena.The effect of post-subculture on the development of the culture of countries around the world cannot be ignored. It seems that post-subculture is a special existence to mainstream society. To the predominant of mainstream society, post-subculture is regarded as a time bomb which intensifies social contradictions and is difficult to control. Although the demonized preach of some media and superficial reference out of context cover the post-subculture with a layer of haze, the significance of developing multiculturalism has been exposed. From subculture to post-subculture, there always is an eternal conflict between mainstream culture and non-mainstream culture. It is neither the age that the post-subculture will replace mainstream culture, nor the age that it will be affixed a heterogeneous label and absorbed by mainstream culture. There is an essential extinction between post-subculture and subculture. According to the post-subculture development in China, both ideological forms and commercial consumption patterns will be used in this paper. Through the application of some classical deconstruction methodology, like individual elemental symbolization, scattering, reorganization and splicing, the mainstream culture and post-subculture will share mutual development under certain circumstances.
