Abstract Proverbs is the people’s language, culture and life experiences, rich ethic culture."Eat" is a basic way of human existence."Eat" in Chinese and Vietnamese, is not an ordinary verb, but also own an strongly-shaped morpheme. There are many "eat"-structured proverbs in Chinese and Vietnamese.Thus, this essay focus on researching Chinese anh Vietnamese "eat" word-structured provebs and collect, analyze the similarities and difference between two language. Then we continue considering the origin of the differences on culture and connotation of the semantic differences reflecting the ethinic groups. Though out the research of syntactic function and the Phonogical rhythm, we can advise the students with useful experience. It seems to be helpful for the students in interpretation and application. To master the connotation of the proverbs is the key skill for us to avoid mistakes. learning proverbs is not only improve students’ professional knowledge but also accomplish good phonology.
