Semantic Analysis And Interpretation Of Culture Of "Jie" And The Words Include "Jie"

Chinese character "Jie", a language symbol, has multidimensional culture connotations. And "Jie" centered culture is an important part of Chinese culture. This paper classified eight sememes from the twenty different which are related to segment, node, and scope in the great Chinese dictionary to research the extend relationships and the development among each "Jie" sememes. To present the morality semantic basing on the "moral integrity","etiquette""thrifty", the paper also analyzes the relation of morpheme meaning and word formation according to the semantic analysis of eight "Jie" sememes’monoseme. In the Chinese culture advocating "moral integrity","etiquette""thrifty" actually is a stylistic activity of social discourse and its rhetoric cause can be elucidated from culture, politics and mentality. At last, basing on the "The Ancient Chinese Family Precepts Four Books" and "Four Women Book" the paper analyzes the rhetorical strategies of "Jie" in the family motto.
