On E-C Translation Of Children’s Literature Under The Guidance Of Skopostheorie

The purpose of translation is the determinant of translation process.During thetranslation process, translators should clarify the purpose of translation and chooseproper translation strategy to meet readers’s need on the basis of translation purposeand the target reader. Under the guidance of this thought and Skopostheorie, the thesistakes the Chines version of Rabbit Hill for example, explains the strategies of thetranslation of Children’s Literature combining with the characters of Children’sLiterature and the specificity of child readers.This thesis is composed of four parts. The first part mainly introduces thedefinition and characters of Children’s Literature, the importance and current situationof the translation of Children’s Literature and the research meaning ways of this thesis.The second part talks about the development and theoretical framework ofSkopostheorie, which lays a theoretical foundation for the analysis of Children’sLiterature. On the basis of the above two parts, the third part takes to analyze thetranslation of reduplication, onomatopoeia, idiom and lyrics and the usage ofrhetorical device by using the examples of Rabbit Hill. The last part is a conclusion ofthis thesis. Through the discussion and research of Children’s Literature and itstranslation, the author has gained a deeper understanding of the translation ofChildren’s Literature.
