A Process Research On None-Structure Group Counseling: The Change Of Group Cohesiveness And Other Therapeutic Factors

Abstract/Summary:
As the main way of group counseling in China, structure group counseling has always been used to study students by doing experimentations. There has been few researchs focused on the process of group counseling. In this research, descriptive statistics would be used to depict the working effect of group counseling.The none-structure group is constituted by 7 members who come from an open recruitment and pay for the counseling of their free will, and the group takes 12 times during about 4 months. Every time after the group counseling, members are invited to finish The I. Yalom Cohesiveness Scale and The Structure of Yalom’s Curative Factor Scale. Group counseling will be recorded.The results of the study show that:1, Different group period has different working effect.2, Every therapeutic factor changes on its own way.3, Some therapeutic factors affect each other when they change.4, The personal style of the consultant affects the working effect of the group.5, The validity of the scales used by this research has some problems in some dimensions.
