Xingren appeared in the early days of China’s feudal era and continued in the feudal dynasties. But the Xingren became prosperous in the Ming dynasty. And Xingrensi is set up as specialized agency. The Xingren have so many types of work that respond to the Emperor demand. In the Ming dynasty, political and cultural backgrounds are unique which make the bibliography of Ming dynasty presents great era characteristic. Jinshi ho ld the post of Xingren which made Xingrens i department inspired by academic environment. All this made a promoting effect on the formation of catalogue of Xingrensi. In the other hand, Catalogue of Xingrensi has contributed to the Xingren to improve their personal quality. In addition, Catalogue of Xingrensi is based on the rich books of internal department. It has the common characteristics of Ming dynasty catalogues that anti-trad itional and practical. Catalogue of Xingrensi is divided into six parts that “Dian”“Jing”“Shi” “Zi” “Wen” “Za”. It included so many characteristic books, especially in “Dian” and “Za”. In addition, it also has innovation on style which enriches thecatalogue research of Ming dynasty. After the mid-Ming period, the condition of national library is going backwards. For this time with Catalogue of Xingrens i study, could reveal in the library situation of the mid and late Ming dynasty and academic development. But we also need to pay attention to its disadvantages such as description content is too simple.
