As the time of mobile internet is coming, mobile and technology become more integrated with people’s lives. Mobile(like the Web before it) becomes more indispensable in our daily lives and more and more crucial to the way we do business. It is a vital of importance for marketers and consumers to learn and master effective mobile marketing strategies. The source text of this translation report is Mobile Marketing: An hour a day, which collaborated by Rachel Pasqua and Noah Elkin. Knowing more about mobile marketing is one of the reasons why the translator translated this reference book. The other reason for translating this book is that the translator can use the theory of this book into practical activities. Based on the translation and the reflections of the whole process, the translator produced this translation report which focused on the problems he encountered in translation and listed several methods he used to solve the problems. This translation report consists of four parts: Chapter one is task description. In this part, the translator introduced the background information of the writer and his book as well as the significance of translation this book. Chapter Two is process description. This chapter described the translator’s process of translating this book. The translator divided the whole process into three phases: pre-translation, execution and finalization. In this chapter, the translator listed the focuses of each phase and illustrated the result of each stage. As scientific style as the original text is, the language is formal and precise; besides, there are long sentences and many economic trade and marketing terms in the original text. The translator did a lot of preparation work to decide which translation skills are appropriate, and then began the translation. Chapter Three is case analysis of Translation. To demonstrate the reflection of the translator, in this section, she mainly analyzed two subjects: the translation strategy for translating and case analysis in this translation. In conclusion, the final part of this report, the translator reflected on the whole translation project and summarized experience she learned through this process.
