Interpersonal trust plays an important role in our social lives and it is the foundation of building a good interpersonal relationship.Related studies show that college students’ interpersonal trust level decreased significantly from 1998 to 2009 in our country.Interpersonal trust is closely related to the mental health of college students, so the school mental health education should pay a attention for this problem.Therefore, researches on college students’ interpersonal trust is particularly important.The intervention methods used for improve the level of interpersonal trust are very limited, such as group psychological counseling, mental health education. Sandplay therapy is a complete psychological treatment technology, it can help visitors understand themselves better and integrated their personalities, so as to establish good interpersonal relationships. So this study try to use sandplay therapy to improve the level of interpersonal trust of college students.The research include two aspects:Study 1: The participants from 1-4 grade college students. The study uses ITS to select 30 college students with low interpersonal trust levels and 30 college students high interpersonal trust levels. Both of them do initialize sandplay, By comparing the dimensions of two groups, the fundamental sandplay characteristics of low interpersonal trust level college students were summarized.Study 2: Select 12 individual cases from low interpersonal trust group and divide them into two groups(six students in intervention group, six students in the control group),The intervention group received sandplay intervention,the control group did not contact any Sandplay activities. Through the application of sandplay therapy, in order to verify the effectiveness of sandplay therapy, and provide reference for theuniversity students’ psychological counseling.The results show that:(1)There are significant differences between two groups in working time, The low interpersonal trust level group use less time in sandplay production.(2)There are no significant differences in moving sandplay productions between the two groups.(3)There are difference between two groups in the empty, split, blocked themes,and significant in empty themes.The cure theme proportion of low interpersonal trust level group are lower than the high level group, and shows the significant difference on journey,embed,rebirth,energy and change.(4)The number of self-image of low interpersonal trust level group are less than the high interpersonal trust level group with significant difference.(5)The total number of toys and total species of low interpersonal trust level group are less than the high group and show significant difference.(6)The number of low interpersonal trust level group without moving sand are significantly more than the high level group. And the number of interpersonal trust level group moved sand on a large scale are significantly less than the high level group.(7)Characteristics of Group Sandplay Therapy and healing mechanism is applicable adjustment to improve the level of the interpersonal trust.(8)The intervention had significant effect on improving the level of the interpersonal trust.
