For many years, English education major in normal universities with its professional advantages has trained tens of thousands of English teachers for elementary education front, makes the very big contribution for our country education. With China’s education reform’s advancement, English education major in nonnal universities has already made great adjustment, but imperfect. In recent years, in response to the new basic education English new curriculum reform, especially "the English professional English syllabus of higher school" and "the basic education English new curriculum standard" and "full-time compulsory education ordinary high school English course standard" issued, making talents training work of English education major in normal universities faces huge challenges, in curriculum, the course structure, scheduling aspects of reform is imperative. The constructing perfect English education professional curriculum system in nonnal universities is the coordinated development guarantee of the knowledge and ability of expectant English teacher of middle and primary school. However, At present, English courses that are still in a tradition of language and literature course model dominated in some normal universities, curriculum setting caliber is narrow, emphasize the professional knowledge; Education courses is not perfect, The pedagogical characteristic is not strong, professional tendency is not outstanding, the disadvantages of flexibility shortage in the current has been revealed. Therefore, the curriculum reform has become the emphasis of English education professional reform in normal universities. The study takes nearly four years English education graduates in normal universities as investigation objects, to understanding of the new curriculum reform situation, professional knowledge, teaching ability and professional education of English education major in normal universities by questionnaire and interview situation from new entry English teachers of primary and secondary school, to understand the adaptability of new course reform, and finally puts forward some curriculum reform strategies based education of English education major in normal universities, construct English education major curriculum system in normal universities to adapt to the new English curriculum reform of basic education, including optimization of construction teaching target and the teaching principle of professional curriculum system of English education major in normal universities; Adjustment to the scope and scale of general education courses setting up,properly to broaden the scope of curriculum, strengthen students majoring in English education in normal universities in the humanities, and scientific literacy and education of information literacy education, increase in the adaptability to their basic English teaching; Through comprehensive knowledge and skills integrated skills in two aspects of English professional class, and strengthen the optimization of the English professional elective courses opened; Adjustment and optimization of education class education center of gravity, to rebuild framework of class education method to monitor education skills course, teaching practice and teaching methodology, education research methodology, and form of five modules, especially to strengthen and improve English subject of education curriculum settings.
