Supervision system is an important system to defend the ruling class. In the history of China, no matter how long the dynasty exists, it always has supervision system. As the most developed time of the feudal era, supervision system of Tang dynasty has been greatly improved and perfected. The prosperity of Zhenguan period has much relation with the supervision system at that time. Nowadays there is also something to learn from the supervision system in tang dynasty.Nowadays, our political reform is in the difficult time, problems emerge endlessly. The methods will be used which is legal and useful to solve these problems. Zhenguan period, as the cleanest time in politic in the history of China, its supervision system plays an important role in fighting the duty crime and persuading the emperor. Nowadays abuse of power crime emerge endless, many civil servants have been put in record and investigated,even the Politics and law committee secretary. The general public has been shocked by this phenomenon. The reason of this phenomenon is the supervision system has problem such as lag in supervision and lack of professional knowledge and needs reform. The supervision system in Zhenguan period functioned efficiently. It must have the useful factors today’s supervision can received as reference. It is profound to explore the supervision of Zhenguan period.The thesis contains three parts. The first part of the thesis will illustrates the background of the supervision system in Zhenguan period, which is the lesson of the collapse of sui dynasty and the special case of the beginning of tang dynasty. Then the thesis illustrates the The guiding ideology of the supervision system which is the People-oriented spirit of Mencius and the spirit of law. Being strict with officials is also the guiding ideology of supervision. There has relations among these spirits. To supervise the officials,the law is essential.The second part of thesis is to illustrate the foundation of the supervision system in Zhenguan period. The system contains censorate and the suggested officer. Firstly the thesis illustrates how censorate in Zhenguan period functioned efficiently comparing to the censorate in other period in Tang dynasty. The suggested officer system is most positive is Zhenguan period that make the country powerful. From the research of supervision system in Zhenguan period, we can find the inspiration in today’refom.The third part of the thesis is the inspiration of the supervision system in Zhenguan period. The thesis point out the disadvantage of today’s supervision system, and find to solution to improve today’s supervision system.
