The Analysis Why The System Of The Official Censor At Court Came To Be Mature In The ZhenGuan Period

As an important part of Chinese ancient political institution, the system of the official censor at court is developed with the dynasty alternations. It's originated from Zhou Dynasty and decayed with the destruction of the Repressive regimes. It had reached the peak in the ZhenGuan Period of Tang Dynasty, alongside with several emperors and officials gone down in history as an honor and a lot of expostulations on the scroll of fame. In the feudal society of supreme imperial authority, this part of official censor system seemed especially precious. However, the appearance of the prosperousness in ZhenGuan Period is linked together with the complete system of the official censor and the promotion of censorship practice. This paper deals with the study from here and dip into in the latter two points of view. Firstly, we take it from static angle. We research the operating system of the censorship institution and try to explain the promotion effects of complete system designment from analyzing of the position settings of the official censors, strictly selections and new rights of the official censors called discussing official business in the cabinet. Secondly, in the other side of dynamic angle, we take it from two counterparts of TangTaiZong and official censors. One hand, we analyze the ZhenGuan official censors. Because of the extensive selections of officials, fair promotions and strictly appointments of censor officials, the censor officials of this period were provided with good quality and great talents. They performed their duties to the full and made great contributions to the prosperous situations of ZhenGuan Period. On the other hand, we study the personal effect of TangTaiZong. It's the humble adoption and the encouraging of speech freedom of TangTaiZong to make the censor official institution back to its original meaning. In return, it performed great effect on his regimes. However, it can be not out of the limitations of its class, as it's designed to protect feudal imperial Repressive Regimes.
