Research The Relationship Between Internet Addiction, Parental Rearing Pattern And Coping Styles Of Members In Quit Internet Addiction School

The purpose of this study is to find the relationship between Internet addiction, parental rearing pattern and coping styles of members in quit Internet addiction school.Firstly,to understand their parental rearing pattern,coping styles and daily life,10 selected members in a quit Internet addiction school accepted in-depth interviews. Then 56 Internet addicts in this school were chose to carry on the questionnaire survey.The questionnaire included CIAS-R,EMBU and coping style scale.After the investigation data were analyzed.Conclusions:(1) The adolescents in quit Internet addiction school whose parents were divorced had more Internet addiction actions than those whose parents were not divorced.(2) The Internet addiction of members in quit Internet addiction school was related to father’s parental rearing pattern which contained understanding, punishment, excessive interference, favoritism,refuse and deny, excessive protection.(3) The Internet addiction of members in quit Internet addiction school was related to mather’s parental rearing pattern which contained understanding, interference protection, deny and favoritism.(4) The Internet addiction of members in quit Internet addiction school was related to their coping styles which contained a reasonable explanation, escape, venting, fantasy\ denied.(5) As influence factors to he Internet addiction of members in quit Internet addiction school,the influence of parental rearing pattern is more than coping styles.
