The Yangming Yi-ology In Context Of Philosophy Of Mind

Wang Yangming was the famous ideologist in the middle of Ming Dynasty, his thought had a profound influence in several centries. In the context of his philosophy of mind, Yangming system could be regarded as a Yi-ology system in the proper sense.The paper contains five parts:the first part, status and reasons of research; the second part, the mind experience of Yangming; The third part, the transition of structure of Tripple Ways in Universe; the fourth part, Conscience:the redefinition of foundation of value in life world; the fifth part, The Achievement of Conscience:Yi written by individuals.The first part firstly collated the Yangming philosophy of mind, Yang Ming Yi-ology, the connection between his philosophy of mind and Yi-ology, then overall summarized the progresses and deficiencies of researches of Yangming’s learning, and lastly declared the determination of the topic selection.The second part collated the process of Yangming’s learning in briefly, especially in his context of philosophy of mind, the process of his Yi-ology formation.The third part named the transition of structure of Tripple Ways in Universe. The Tripple Ways in Universe is the core of Yi-ology. The understanding of Tripple Ways in Universe is a long process in history. This part emphatically discussed the process the process from Pre-Qin to Yangming in Ming Dynasty. The Book of Changs initiated two accesses of Yi-ology, one is to explore the principles of Yin and Yang, the other is research the principles of life. The two accesses respectively inherited and progressed by Han Dynasty and Song Dynasty Yi-ology scholars. This part stated that Yangming had integrated the Confucian classics by vision of Yi, and revealed the original substance of Conscience and the ulity of Conscience in life world. Yangming indicated that as the value foundation of the Triple Ways in Universe, the original substance of Conscience is unpertubed mood of mind and modeartion with any signals. On the side of ulity of Conscience in life world, Yangming chose the humility of moralty shown by the Qian-trigrams as the foundation of all illustrious moralties such as benovolence, justice, manners and wisdom,and declared that those all kind of moralties are the manifestation of Conscience. Then Yangming stated that to probe the priciples is to achieve Conscience practially in the world whose value foundation is Conscience, and to probe the priciles was the subsumtion of the efforts such as investigation of things and the rectification of mind in The Great Learning. At the end of the part, the paper indicated that Yangming proposed his self-know theory and the prosition of silent effort in mind.The fifth part stated that in Yangming’s point of view, Yi was not only written in the Book of Changes by the sages, but also contained in the life world whose value foundation was Conscience. Since every individual possess the Conscience as his/her value foundation in the life world of Triple Ways in Universe, he/she should actuate the world and make it what ought to be, which equaled to the processing of writing a book of Yi by every individuals. Base on this conclusion, this part analyzed the deepen of Yangming’s philosophy of mind through his Yi-ology as a first step to declared that the explanation of the propositions declared by Yangming, for instance, Achievement of Conscience and, Consciousness and action should be unanimous. Yangming wrote his Yi which is of his life and learning as representations, which is still splendor and exclusive.
