The Comparative Study Of Chinese And Vietnamesecollective Classifier

Quatifier is an important part which is rich and complicated in Chinese’s and Vietnamese’s vocabulary.The quatifier has a large quantity,a high usage frequency as well as a quite complicated usage in both Chinese and Vietnamese.It has a very important position in this two language.The name of classifer in Chinese and Vienamese has a little difference. In Vietnamese,the “classifer” is called “ typeword”,but the nature and usage of it has nothing difference with Chinese(For the sake of convenience in researching this problem,we call “type-word” in Vietnamese as “classifer”.).The unique semantic and the features of the usage of the classifer are gradually raiseing linguistics’ attantion in domestic and overseas and they have more and more interests in studying them and they put forward many valuable results.Quatifer is divided into three types in morden Chinese:noun quatifier,varbal quatifier and compound quatifier.Noun quatifier is divided into six types:Individual quatifier, collective measure words, sectional quatifier,metrological measure words, container measure words and temorary quatifier.Among the six types of the noun quatifier, collective measure words is the focus of this research.We see “collective quatifier in Chinese”and “collective measure words in Vietnamese” as the objects of the research.Collective measure words has higher usage frequency in Chinese then in Vietnamese and it has relatively comprehensive research productions in Chinese.The research productions in Vietnamese are not enough at present.Though there are many similarity of quatifier in Vietnamese and Chinese,they have many difference as well because the language of Chinese and Vietnamese have their own features which bring great diffculties to the students in Vietnam who are studying Chinses.Basing on the research about quatifier of predecessors’, this passage will analysis and compare quatifier of Chinese and Vietnamese and try to find similarity and difference of them so that students in Vietnam can know well about semantic function and sentence structure function of quatifier in Chinese and Vietnamese.Hoping this passage will become a reliable materials to students of Vienamses who are learning Chinese and students of Chinese who are learning Vienamese.The main research of this paper, Explaining the object of the research and significance of selected topic, arranging the definitions and classifys of quatifier in Chinese and Vietamese, making clear the basic conception about the passage,providing information about the reseach status,making a quantitative analysis about the objects of this passage and clarifing the theories and methods of this research.This passage makes some comparison of combination ability of collective quatifier in Chinese and Vietnamese,studys the difference between collective quatifier and numeral,demonstrative pronoun and adjective.Besides,this passage will compare the overlapping forms of collective quatifier in Chinese and Vietnamese which will be the theoretical basis to studing the difference about the syntactical and syntactic function.The methods to make a case study about the collective quatifier “dui” and“??ng”, “fu” and “b?” is studing the appearance and historical development about Chinese collective measure words “dui” and “fu”,and then making a comparsion about semantic features,the object of measurement and shades of meaning of collective quatifier in Chinese and Vienamese.
