Cultural Identity Perspective Of E-C Translation Of Western Astrology

There is a close relationship between culture and translation. As translators, we need to be faithful not only to the original text but also the culture elements of readers. This report is based on the translation of The Inner Sky, where there exist a large number of words and sentences about culture. This paper includes four parts. The first is to introduce the objective, background and meaning for translation project. The second is to introduce the original work for translation and the language characteristic. And the third is to explain the problems the author met in translation and try to find some means to solve them. And the last part is a conclusion. From the angle of the cultural identity, this thesis discusses the practice of translation through the reflection of culture in the language. With The Inner Sky as an example, this article will try to seek some better ways to tackle problems in translation and summarize some practical translation strategies.
