From Novel "Lu Yan Shi Prisoner" To The Film "Return"

As a leading figure of the fifth generation director, Zhang Yimou’s works have a very strong influence in the^international and domestic. In his directing art, the adaptation of literary works of " Writing again" is one of the most important parts. He has said publicly that he is an inseparable from the director of the novel. In 2014, Zhang yimou joins " Le Vision Pictures" and works to create the first adaptation "return". This work reflects the different style of adaptation. Therefore, researching on the Zhang yimou film adaptation art style change and behind the social, literary, film context has new significance. At present, the research on the adapted works mainly focus on comparativing study on the works of Zhang yimou film, artistic features, aesthetic characteristics, Post-colonial’s background and Zhang yimou and fifth generation’s analysis,etc.but researching Zhang Yimou from the 80’s adaptation research work style changes is rarely, also having not formed the system. Therefore, this paper attempts from the adaptation theory, cultural studies, comparative study to analysis novel"lu Yan Shi prisoner"and the film "Return", Respectively from the theme, plot setting, characters and narrative etc. It is researching different adaptation art in the film "Return".and then analysis the artistic style changing, Cultural trajectory of Zhang yimou’s all works, explores the Internal mechanism of Zhang yimou’s adaptation works.
