Research On The Political Geography Of Sichuan During The Tang And Song Dynasty

The historical political geography is research on the relationship between the choice of distribution for the phenomenon of social politics and geographical environment in history, to predict the development change of the discipline. About regional research, the scholars pay attention to the political geography in different of times. At present, the academic have not payed enough attention to the edge area, the research is not thorough. For example, the area of Sichuan.Sichuan is known as the "Land of Abundance". It not only has rich resources, and still has superior geography environment. So Sichuan is as an important role in the southwest of China. People have many different of views on political geography of Sichuan during the Tang and Song Dynasty.In this dissertation, the author wrote the paper from the view of geographical knowledge and the geopolitics. This article describes the political geography for Sichuan(the higher administrative district and the strategic position of political geography pattern) during the Tang and Song Dynasty. While the strategic position of Sichuan in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and discusses the national political geography in the pattern of political influence and historical significance. It analyzes the differences in the effects of the Sichuan’s changes in political geography pattern and strategy on the layout and its related factors during the Tang and Song Dynasty. At last, the article explore the political geography strategic layout measures for Sichuan in the gains and losses during the Tang and Song Dynasty.
