| This translation report deals with Chinese Thinking Modes(Chapter Four and Chapter Five), and the source text is a social science monograph written by Professor Wu Chun. In this book, the author digs into the thinking modes of Chinese people in a systematic way and makes a comparison with that of ancient Greeks, which helps readers better understand the origin, structure characteristics of Chinese thinking. The two chapters center on the thinking modes--iconization and recognition, and discuss the characteristics of China’s iconization thinking and China’s recognition thinking respectively and explore the differences between Chinese and Greeks in the two modes, which could give the target readers a full understanding of Chinese thinking and the reasons behind the differences.Generally, the report is divided into four parts: Part One is an introduction to the translation report covering the background, significance and the overall layouts.
