This is a translation project report based on Chapter 2 and Chapter 6 of Human Machine Interaction-Getting Closer, a scientific book published in January 2012 by In Tech, which is one of the world’s leading science, technology and medical publishing academic content suppliers. The author selected two chapters to translate. This book was written by professors who are famous in the field of human-computer interaction and they use their unique perspectives to fully state the human-computer interaction, vividly depicting the effect of human-machine interaction on the development of human society. The author, guided by Vermeer ’s Skopos theory, adopted some translation strategies such as conversion which focuses on logic and overall layout of the paper to accurately understand the meanings of the terms, thoroughly comprehending the whole text and seizing the central main idea. By analysizing the overall structure and its planning, the author could clearify the logic thinking layout and make the translation clear and smooth.
