Modern Chinese has large number modals,which have an independent voice system.Besides, Modern Chinese modals syntactic have their significant characteristics on positions, fixed match, tone sense and pragmatic function. However, due to the Chinese Modal itself is relatively difficult to grasp and foreign language teachers do not pay enough attention and other reasons, students’ learning situation is not very good. In this paper, I study native Russian students in China and investigate six commonly used Chinese modals including "de, le, ne, ba, ma, a" as well as thenir conjunction form and sound change of "a". I launched a survey questionnaire and then analyzed the results in detail and later summarized the types of errors and finally summed up the reasons for errors. In the last, I give some teaching suggestions.There are five chapters of this paper.The first chapter is the preamble, including the topics of reason, theoretical foundation and the scope of the study.The second chapter describes the research status of the mainly used six Chinese modals, including the ontology and research in the field of foreign language teaching.The third chapter compares the modals in Chinese and Russian language, including the similarities and differences.And lay the foundation for the next reason analysis.The forth chapter is the errors statistical analysis and then I summarize the types of these errors and explore the causes of these errors.In the last chapter, I give several teaching recommendations of Chinese modals.
