Writing is the focus as second language acquisition in Chinese. Intermediate level is an important transition level of learning Chinese for students. However, writing class does not show obvious teaching effect in normal situation. Therefore, it is worthy exploring how to improve students’ writing level by teaching in intermediate level.Process approach is one of the representative teaching methods in teaching writing. Compared with traditional method in writing teaching, the process approach pays attention to the students’ writing and improves the students’ writing abilities by modification repeatedly. Based on process approach, the instructional research of intermediate writing in TCSL, first of all, the intermediate problems of students in writing teaching can be found through the intermediate level of the basic situation investigation. Then based on the process approach, the process of writing can be divided into pre-writing stage, drafting stage and revising stage. Combining with the three stages, the reasons of the problems are analyzed. Secondly, applying the process approach to the intermediate writing teaching, and the teaching suggestions for intermediate writing teaching by process approach so as to improve students’ writing level. Finally, process approach designs the lesson plan, combines the theory with practice as the main teaching method.
