Listening, speaking, reading and writing are the four basic skills that Chineselearners should master,but now in the classroom teaching the emphasis on writing isnot enough usually, we have a great room for the improvement in both teaching andlearning.My thesis analyzes the current status of TCSL and makes a new instructionaldesign to apply to Shanghai International Studies University(it is short for SHISU)bases on the local survey of the primary writingcourse and combines the Task-BasedLanguage Teaching,Teaching of lexical chunks and the Process-focused approach.This thesis is divided into five chapters:The first chapter: Introduction. This paper mainly describes the background ofthe topic, noting that the write teaching is the weak link in Chinese teaching. In orderto improve the situation this instructional design is launched with the combination ofthe Task-based approachã€Chunk Teaching and Process approach, and the threetheoretical basesare described.Then the review of the teaching research in TCSL isstated which includes its particularity, the research literature and the current textbookin writing.The second chapter: The primary reading and writing course in SHISU and theerror analysis of the student’s compositions. This chapter firstly analyzes the currentsituation of primary writing teaching in SHISU, secondly summarizes the type ofwriting error of the students and some related reasons are given, at last it shows thestudents’ learning need and suggestions.The third chapter: Primary writing lesson plan in the reading and writingcourse.Section one is an explanation of this design which includes the curriculumsetting, teaching objects, teaching target. Section two states the process and method ofthis plan. Section three is two examples of the design case.Chapter four: The summary of the practice of this plan.This part includestheanalyses of the implementation of this plan,the questionnaire survey and itsanalyses,the comparative analysis of compositions between the class which has been experimented and the class which has not been experimented to check the results andeffects.Chapter five: Conclusions. It summarizes the research work in this paper andpoints out the defects. |
