A Reflective Research Report On The C-E Translation Of The Industry Report 2003 Of Oil And Natural Gas Development

The development of industry as an important reflection of economic development is the main approach to take participates in the international competition, and to promote national competitiveness. People can learn international condition and developing tendency of industry from industry report. The source text of C-E translation was excerpted from the third section of 2003 Blue Book of China Industry Development, namely the Industry Report 2003 of Oil and Natural Gas Development. The article covers totally four parts--the industry background, profits analysis, existing problems and developing strategies of China petroleum and natural gas industry.The thesis begins with the analysis of the source text and the description of the translation process, then in the body part difficult points and problems encountered in the translation process are analyzed and specific solution are put forward. The thesis ends with exposition of the experience and reflection of the translation. Through the translation practice and reflection, the author learns more about the oil and natural gas industry and improves the understanding of the language styles and features of practical writing. The translation ability is also greatly improved.
