On African American Identity

African American group’s identity has long been a concern and they incessantly construct and search for their identity. As a successful example, Michael Jackson is a typical representative of African American group. Consequently, it is indispensable to study African American identity by studying Michael Jackson.This thesis studies Michael Jackson in following ways. Firstly, it analyses Michael Jackson’s identity crisis and its reasons. Meanwhile, the author exposes the necessity of searching for identity. Secondly, the author discusses several ways of searching for identity of Michael Jackson in details. In the end, the author discusses Michael Jackson’s illusion of identity.To conclude, Michael Jackson’s search for identity is in vain. Meanwhile, African American group’s search for identity still has a long way to go.
