Virtue is the basis upon which societies and economies flourish, since it is theinternalization of moral rules that produce social harmony. Virtues in organization are alsointangible assets of a corporation. Organizational Virtuousness refers to virtuous behaviors ofan organization as a whole in everyday business life. With the rise of positive organizationalbehavioristics, scholars paid more attention to virtuous behaviors in organizations.This research takes employees as the subject to investigate the content structure ofOrganizational Virtuousness under the perspective of Chinese employees. The researchcollects items through academic analysis, interview and questionnaire so as to developquestionnaire of organizational virtuousness. Through exploratory factor analysis,confirmative factor analysis and regression analysis, this study explores the effect of theperception of organizational virtuousness on job performance, organizational citizenshipbehavior and turnover intention, the mediating effect of affective commitment and moderatingeffect of self efficacy. Conclusions are as follows:(1) Organizational virtuousness under the perspective of employees is a five-dimensionalstructure, which consist of optimism, organizational forgiveness, organizational justice,organizational care and organizational trust.(2) The perception of organizational virtuousness has positive effect on job performance,organizational citizenship behavior and negative effect on turnover intention.(3) Affective commitment partly mediated the relationship between the perception oforganizational virtuousness and job performance, organizational citizenship behavior, turnoverintention.(4) Self-efficacy plays a moderating role between the perceptional of organizationalvirtuousness and turnover intention.In the end, this paper concludes on the limitation of this research and put forward theproblems that should be considered in the future research.
