Technological advances in today’s world, companies active in talent isan important bargaining chip to win in the fierce competition in the market.With the new generation born after1980is now in the workplace as themain force groups into all industries, they have become the most importanthuman resources. How to manage them and make them do own workeffective is gaining popularity, this research fit China’s needs andcharacteristics of the times now.Nowadays, researches on the relationship between personality and jobperformance of employees are not very thorough. Based on the literaturestudy, this paper systematically introduces the growth environment andpersonal values for the new generation employees, then an empirical studyof the Big Five personality, active social behavior and workperformance, self-efficacy and the relationship between these variables.Considering the behavior of organizational socialization is more conduciveto observation among new employees, the object of this study mainlyselects new generation employees within three years work life.This studyuse "staff questionnaire" and "Leadership Questionnaire", the former isinvestigate staff’s big five personality characteristics, active social behaviorand self-efficacy, the latter is the survey of employees superior to assesstheir performance, which is the way to avoid the effects of homologous data on study results.The study found that the dimensions of Big Five personalitycharacteristics and the the new generation of employees’ job performancehas a significant correlation, and active social behavior plays anintermediary or intermediary role, self-efficacy plays a partial role in thenew generation of workers between five personality and active socialbehavior. In addition, demographic factors and job performance were nosignificant correlation.In this study, education is significantly correlatedwith self-efficacy and conscientiousness, work experience is significantlycorrelated emotional stability and extraversion.
