A Report On Translation Of Luxos Spain Spring And Summer Guide

This report of translation practice, mainly based on my part-time translationpractice of the Luxos Spain Spring and Summer Guide, is a summary of thistranslation practice. This report mainly has four parts. Firstly, the writer gives anwhole introduction about the translation task, including the brief information of theclient, the requirements of the translation in the task description. Secondly, the writerpresents characters of the translation text and the specific translation process of thetranslation task in the process of the task which is the second part of this report.Thirdly, in the case analysis part, third part of this report also the core part of thisreport, the writer, after analyzing the text, chooses domestication as the main strategy.Then illustrate how to apply different skills such as amplification, splitting andrecombination in specific situation when encounter proper noun of luxury brands,complicated geographical names and long&difficult sentences. Finally, in thesummery and conclusion part, the writer generalizes the translation skills andstrategies of tourism text and discuss some key points we need pay attention to whenencounter them next time and discussed the experiences gained and lessons learned inthis translation practice.
