Research On The Oral English Course Reform For The Gan Dialect Speaking Undergraduates Of Non-english Major

With the further development of globalization, the change of talent mechanism inmarket and the gradual shift of English educational center in universities, Oral Englishability of Non-English Majors is more and more important. The present situation of OralEnglish is far from being able to meet this requirement for most non-English Majors，which problem is more serious in the universities of Jiangxi province, especially, where thegreat mass of students are Gan dialect speakers.The purpose of this research is to analysis the English pronunciation and oral Englishof Non-English Majors who are the Gan dialect speakers, find out the causes, and give areasonable proposal. This paper is divided into five parts---The first part is introduction.,which expounds the research background, research purpose, research significance,domestic and foreign related research situation, research ideas, research methods, conceptsand innovation. In the second part, the author analyzes the present oral English situation ofNon-English Majors with Gan dialect and the reasons. In the third part, the author analyzesthe differences of oral English situation between English Majors with Gan dialect and nonEnglish major with same dialect, as well as reasons of them. In the forth part, the authorproposes the curriculum model of “Oral English” for non-English majors with Gan dialectand gives a detailed advice from the aspects of material principle, time arrangement, theteaching method and so on. The fifth part is a summary of the paper.
