Abstract/Summary:
Parenting style is a kind of relatively stable behavioral style and behavioral tendencies,in their daily activities of education, child-rearing. It reflects the attitude of parents to theirchildren and their concepts of education. Procrastination is individual to delay theimplementation of tasks, being a relatively stable behavior, and procrastination can easily leadto anxiety and other negative emotions. Anxiety is a negative emotion experience. It is oftenaccompanied by a strong and lasting tension, fear, pain, and accompanied by physiologicaland behavioral change. Anxiety is one of the main negative emotions will lead to collegestudents’ psychological problems, which should pay close attention to and correct guidance,actively avoiding nervous system disease or other physical and mental illness. In recent years,the mental health of college students has been widespread concern in society, and anxiety arethe main factors causing negative emotions, especially study on its origin. Therefore, thisstudy probed the relationship between parental styles, delay and anxiety.On the basis of predecessors’ theory research and practice research, this researchmeasures232undergraduates through EMBU, API and STAT, discusses the current situationand the relationship between college students’ Parenting style, Procrastination and Anxiety.This study shows as follows:(1) Procrastination is no significant different in gender, specialty, source, grade and theone-child or not.(2) Whether state anxiety or trait anxiety, there are no significant differents in gendersource and grade; both the state anxiety and the trait anxiety are significant differents inspecialty; the state anxiety is significant different in the one-child or not.(3) Procrastination is significantly and positively correlated to father’sexcessive-interference, parent’s refusal-denial and mother’s strict-punishment; procrastinationis significantly and negatively correlated to parent’s warm-understanding.(4) Procrastination is significantly and positively correlated to anxiety.(5) State anxiety is significantly and positively correlated to parent’swarm-understanding; trait anxiety is significantly and positively correlated to parent’swarm-understanding, father’s excessive-interference and father’s strict-punishment; traitanxiety is significantly and negatively correlated to mother’s excessive-interference andmother’s refusal-denial.(6) Parenting style has significant prediction on anxiety. (7) Procrastination has significant positive prediction on anxiety.
