The report on consecutive interpreting at a simulation conference of the9thCSCAP Conference aims to find and solve problems during the interpreting in orderto have a better understanding of translation and interpretation in the future.This report consists of an introduction, the contents and a conclusion. Its maincontents are as follows:The first part is introduction, which mainly introduces the9th CSCAPConference, including the background of the conference, the proceeding list of eachsession of the conference, and the task of the simulation conference.The second part is the main body, which is made up of three chapters.Chapter I mainly introduces the preparations of the task including the earlypreparation and the final preparation.Chapter II mainly describes the process of the task, which consists of thedifficulty and key parts of the interpreting, the speaker’s influence on interpreting, theinterpreter’s psychological quality on interpreting, and the audiences’ responses oninterpreting.Chapter III mainly shares the practical experience. It concludes the merits andflaws of the interpreted version, and the improvement of the interpreting qualitiesfrom three aspects, such as the importance of preparations before the task, theimportance of daily accumulations, and the importance of an interpreter’s physicaland psychological qualities.The conclusion part makes a summary of the task. The simulated conference wasa success. There are some pains and gains. I have my future plan for improvement ofthe interpreting qualities, the preparations before the task, the daily accumulations,and the interpreter’s physical and psychological qualities to in order to become aqualified interpreter in the future.
