Abstract/Summary:
The communication of martial arts film is a branch of Wushu propagation,especially in the information age, its role in the promotion of Wushu is highlightedparticularly. As a master of the martial art, Shaolin Wushu has always been loved by avariety of martial art movies and TV dramas. There are many works about ShaolinTemple, from Shaolin Temple (1982), Shaolin Kids (1984) to New Shaolin Temple(2010), a lot of Shaolin films constituted the early pulse of Shaolin theme film andtelevision works. Then the Hong Kong and Taiwan TV industry took a number ofsimilar dramas. It is not until the drama, Shaolin Hero, showed up that the concept ofShaolin Teleplays, in the train of many dramas came out, such as Wu Zun Shaolin(1993), Eighteen Arhats (2003) and so on. They brought a great time of ShaolinTeleplays.However, the research of this field is a few. So this thesis takes Shaolin TempleLegend, which is a representative product of Shaolin Teleplays, as a research object.Through the literature material methods, content analysis methods, logic analysis andother research methods, people studied the Shaolin drama’s development historyspecifically and systematically. Such as the social context of the Shaolin dramatoday’s prosperity phenomenon, the writers, the content, the audience, and the effectsof Shaolin Temple Legend. Then people put forward the future Shaolin drama spreadand development of effective path.First is analyzing the composition of communicators play, then discussing In theterm of delivering content analysis, This paper is from the perspective ofcommunication study as a breakthrough point, and makes the drama at the process ofcommunication in all aspects of the analysis and study it. In analysis ofcommunicators, firstly people should analyze the composition of the communicatorsplay, and then discuss the creative motive and principle of creative team. In the aspectof spreading content analysis, it mainly based on the reality–from two kinds of truthto see the TV series named Shaolin Temple Legend, and cut it into the core of Chineseculture, and beautiful picture sinks Kong Fu in the video, setting a strong nationalspirit and meaningful humanities complex, convey the Chinese Zen Buddhismthought and so on. In terms of audience, people probe into the audience psychologicalneeds, it is included that the influence of Shaolin complex, empathy and identity ofpsychological satisfaction. The release of ‘Heroic dreams’ and uphold justice inShaolin Temple Legend is the most major acceptable psychology by audience. Then itis concluded the effect that spread of Shaolin Temple Legend: first one is advocatingyoung-humanity concept and shaping the national image; Second is inheriting theculture and leading the society; Third is that this drama spread Henan culture,including the depth of central plains culture, and the lead to local culture and newideas; Fourth is the drama to the positive role of Wushu dissemination, it includesmain Kong Fu culture, spreading and enriching Chinese traditional martial arts culture,for the audience all over the world set up a rich real imagination of Chinese martialarts, attracting more enthusiasts, then promoting martial arts’ development on filmand television industries. Based on the paper systematically analyzing every link of the communications inthe Shaolin Temple Legend, people conclude ways of Shaolin drama spreading anddeveloping in the future. Firstly, local governments should participate in and increasepolicy support. Secondly, grasp the right content localization of the spread, includingrestoring the shaolin martial arts, integrating the Kung Fu and the beautiful Kung Fuinto creation in the shaolin drama, pursuing the consciousness of creating preciousworks, maintaining excellent traditional culture all the time. Thirdly, broaden themarketing tools of shaolin drama, consisting of developing the audience, setting themarketing goals, cooperating with the multiparty, broadening the output channels.Next, improve the shaolin movie and TV talent team, and pay attention to personneltraining. At last, extend the industrial chain, and enhance the development of shaolindrama derivatives. Therefore, the above measures provides a certain theoretical basisfor creation and development of shaolin drama in the future.
