Slash is a new type of literature that introduced into Chinese continent in recent years, andspread quickly with the help of internet. Slash literature is not directly derived fromhomosexual literature or Chinese romance; it is the production of Japanese anime culture. In thelate nineteen eighties, Japanese cartoon first entered the Taiwan and Hong Kong areas and thenintroduced into Chinese continent in the early nineties. In1997the Japanese Slash fiction beganto appear in the mainland market. The Slash literature had a vigorous development andinfluenced by western "Fan Fiction" and combined with the China traditional culture after itintroduction to Chinese. The deconstruction and subversion characteristics of postmodernismare match with the Slash literature.
