As a foreign religion,Buddhism has developed the dissemination andintegration with our culture since introduced to China in the Han Dynasty fromIndia,and formed a unique Buddhist culture. It has become an important integralpart of the splendid Chinese culture. Buddhism as an important visual graphicsymbols. From the past to the future, it has delivered the ancient religious andcultural beliefs, and it has played a very important role in the spread ofBuddhism.This article analyses the origin of Buddhism graphical changes, the spreadof Buddhism and variation of Buddhism graphics, and explores the deep culturalmeaning of these graphics from the perspective of Arts and Communication toresearch the development of Buddhism in Shanxi Buddhism graphic evolutionand the characteristics shown by the use of these graphic elements in differentforms of traditional artifacts, furniture, architecture, statues, etc.,Lotus as themain object of study is chosen to do a diachronic induction from the graphicsorigin, symbolic meaning, shape, in different carriers evolution, combining withsocial and cultural background of each period of the evolution of Buddhismgraphics. A digital reading material based on the visualizing technology is madewith the collection of Buddhist graphics, which not only shows the inheritanceand development Chinese culture and good Buddhist art, and the beauty of itsform, but also provides contemporary design with new graphical elements andprovide the research of the Buddhist art with great significance.
