Meanwhile, as a literary image, it also enters the vast literarycreation category, with which generations of scholars express their emotions.Especially dramas focused on the two’s love story presents a splendid sight, whichcontributes to the study on the view of the scholars’ love and marriage in the Mingand Qing Dynasties. Beginning with the existing dramas on the theme of Sima Xiangru and ZhuoWenjun in the Ming Dynasty, this chapter will deeply analyze the figures of SimaXiangru and Zhuo Wenjun and the plot setting, and study the view of the scholars’love and marriage in the Ming Dynasty, combining their characters, life backgroundand the trend of liberation of that time. From the early to the late Ming Dynasty, theview varies from conservation to liberation. By analyzing the change of charactersand the plot setting, it can be found that people’s attitude towards love and marriagealso changed in the Ming Dynasty.Chapter Three Dramas on the theme of Sima Xiangru and Zhuo Wenjun inthe Qing Dynasty and people’s view of love and marriage in the Qing Dynasty. Referring to the view of love and marriage in the Ming Dynasty, this chapter analyzesdramas on the theme of Sima Xiangru and Zhuo Wenjun in the Qing Dynasty and hasa further discussion about people’s view of love and marriage in the Qing Dynasty.By analyzing the existing dramas on the theme of Sima Xiangru and ZhuoWenjun in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the scholars in both dynasties changed theirview of love and marriage from conservation to liberation and finally returned toconservation again. From these dramas, we can see that although these scholars triedto make a change, yet eventually their efforts were in vain. After all, they tried theirbest to approach the modern liberal awareness, but they can not make a breakthroughin the field at last.
