Analysis Of The Phenomenon Of Mainland’s Costume Drama Hit In Taiwan

In recent years, the costume drama widely broadcast in mainland China, the boom has also spread in Taiwan. As a special drama style, costume drama has the dual identity of history and TV drama. The costume dramas are very popular in Taiwan. They arouse sympathy there where share the same traditional culture with mainland China. Recently, it has become a hot topic in Taiwan. It is widely discussed by scholars and experts and aroused controversy between Taiwan and mainland China. Compared with previous Taiwan self-made drama popular in mainland China, it is not only a new phenomenon worth paying attention to the field of film and television, it also reflects some signals of cross-strait cultural exchanges, it is worth researching and thinking.In view of both sides have a sensitive political and historical background, this paper puts TV drama which is the product of ideology in the Taiwan’s viewing environment and tries to explore the influence of mainland’s costume drama in Taiwan by analysing the content such as professional articles, journal Papers, news reports and network data. The present results of the study shows that ideology plays a very important role in the cross-strait cultural exchanges. If we take steps to solve these problems, it will contribute to the smooth communication of cross-strait culture.
