Shanghai Classics Publishing House has successively published Chu Bamboo Slips of the Warring States Collected by Shanghai Museum (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips) from Volume I to Volume VIII since Shanghai Museum procured Chu Bamboo Slips of the Warring States. The academic circle has conducted a variety of researches into the first five volumes of Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips and made a comprehensive discussion about them. Nevertheless, the study on Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips (Volume VI) and Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips (Volume VII) published after the year of2005is still in the preliminary phase; there have been much fewer theses and academic monographs, compared with the previous related researches. Taking Kucheng Jia Fu, Jing Gong Nue, The Death of Zi Jia of Zheng as research objects, the thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter gives a brief account of the results and emphasis of the research on Shanghai Museum Bamboo Slips and research methodology of the thesis. Chapter2, Chapter3and Chapter4, each of which contains2sections, respectively take the three above-mentioned Chu bamboo slips as research text. The first section generalizes schools of interpretation results at the present stage, analyzes and adds notes. The second chapter demonstrates a collection of historical facts based on the interpreted texts, such as Zi Jia Murdered Duke Spirit, Chu State Versus Jin State, Jing Gong Nue, Jin Li Gong Mie San Que and so on, in comparison with The Spring and Autumn Annals and the three explanatory works. Besides, in the light of the research findings on The Spring and Autumn Annals and Yanzi’s Spring and Autumn Annals made by scholars in later ages, it makes a further probe into the relationships between the historical events in the three above-mentioned Chu bamboo slips and handed-down classics and conclude the thoughts reflected among the three chu bamboo slips. The fifth chapter is the conclusion and sketches the unsolved problems in the thesis regarding Chu Bamboo Slips of the Warring States Collected by Shanghai Museum.
