Purpose:This study intended to take the college students as research objects.doing meditation training, through observing the psychological and physiological indicators change during the exam week.to learn the improvement of the meditation on mood.attempting to explore the psychological mechanism of meditation improving mood.for the promotion of meditation in our country, as a simple mass relaxation technique, to provide the basis. Methods:This study used random experimental design, and90participants were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group, each group of45.The experimental group participants attended the mindfulness meditation training for9weeks,5days a week, once a day. and every time30minutes; the control group without any intervention. Before and after the training, observing the two groups’ change of psychological scales:State-trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI), Center for Epidemiological Survey Depression Scale (CES-D), Positive and Negative Affect Scale (PANAS); and physiological indexes:EMG、SC、BVP、RESP、EEG (Alpha). Results:The experimental group’s effective samples were38,the control group were36.(1)STAI comparison in the group, the SAI and TAI of the experimental group, score after test was lower than before, by a significant difference, and the control group had no significant difference (p<0.05);Comparison between groups, the SAI and TAI of the experimental group, the decrease of score after test was higher than the control group, by a significant difference (p<0.05)(2)CES-D comparison in the group, the experimental group score after test was lower than before, by a significant difference, and the control group had no significant difference (p<0.05); Comparison between groups, the experimental group, the decrease of score after test was higher than the control group, by a significant difference (p<0.05)(3)PANAS comparison in the group, the experimental group, PA score after test was higher than before, NA score after test was lower than before, by a significant difference, and the control group had no significant difference (p<0.05); Comparison between groups, the PA of the experimental group.the increase of score after test was higher than the control group, the NA of the experimental group, the decrease of score after test was higher than the control group, by a significant difference (p<0.05)(4) EMG, SC, BVP and RESP comparison in the group, the experimental group score after test was lower than before, by a significant difference, and the control group had no significant difference (p<0.05); Comparison between groups, the experimental group, the decrease of score after test was higher than the control group, by a significant difference (p<0.05)(5) Alpha comparison in the group, the experimental group score after test was higher than before, by a significant difference, and the control group had no significant difference (p<0.05); Comparison between groups, the experimental group, the increase of score after test was higher than the control group, by a significant difference (p<0.05)Conclusion:(1)Meditation can improve individual anxiety, depression and other negative emotional experience, enhance their positive emotional experience.(2)Meditation can relieve muscle tension, reduce SC, BVP and RESP frequency, and enhance the level of individual brain alpha.(3)Meditation can be a simple effective relaxation method for relieving tension.
