The Rise And Fall Of Wenzhou Trotskyists(1933-1952)

Wenzhou Trotskyists is a representative of Chinese Trotskyite’local group.Based on modern Wenzhou social background, this dissertation try to rebuild the process of the rise and fall of Wenzhou Trotskyists from1933to1952. With the help of several key figures to discuss the reasons why so many Trotskyites come from Wenzhou.At the same time, restore Trotskyite participate or organize some activities and events to investigate its relationships with other forces.Especially during the period of the Anti-Japanese War, mutual use and conflict around "The wartime Youth League of Yongjia" and "The knitting industry labor’strike"among CPC,Trotskyist and KMT.In addition, this thesis will focus on the spread of Trotskyism and the collision between CPC and Trotskyist in Wenzhou local schools.At last,this paper relates Wenzhou Trotskyists strain and struggle after the Communist party seized power.They could not change the tragic fate of catch all in one draft by CPC.The study suggests:it is comprehensive effect of multiple factors result that Trotskyists appeared in large numbers in Wenzhou. Remove Wenzhou unique regional culture and individual character, also includes Chinese modern trend, great stimulation of the revolutionary movement,the early spread of communism,close connection between Wenzhou and Shanghai, Wenzhou economic prosperity during the war against Japan, move by educational institutions inland and so on. Wenzhou Trotskyists trying to expand itself,but different factions of the party and political power attack finally led to its fall.Nevertheless,the Trotskyists still achieved considerable momentum in Wenzhou region.Be compared to other local Trotskyites,Wenzhou Trotskyist is more closely contact with the Trotskyist Central Committee.Obviously,more dependent and complementarity in this relationship.In the late Chinese Trotskyists power core,the status of Wenzhou trotskyites had a clear rise. In nearly20years of Wenzhou trotskyites’histories, the Trotskyists isn’t "traitors","spies", nor is so-called "counter revolutionary"although some measures indeed be inopportune or inappropriate.In terms of its time, trotskyites belong to the "advanced person " and "dissidents",they are a group of annihilation revolutionaries.
