The end of the18th century early19th century, Romanticsim led to the rise of culture, art, thought-forms, etc.Literature is the first to be affected,then influenced the music industry.Influenced by the literature, musicians often combine the music with literature, and produce a new form of music-the title music.Robert Schuman, the famous German composer, pianist,music critic, is an outstanding representative of the European19th century Romanticism.He loves literature, and impact of changes in literary, he also expanded the creation of music forms. Divertimento comprized by a number of short piano pieces, each piece has a short headings, which form a combination with divertimento headline. Among them, the " Carnival" is the most famous one and Schumann’s first piano divertimento.This paper describes the generation of Romanticism and its impact on literature and music. in the form of romantic literature produced, as well as the title of music appear; then analyzes the " Carnival" and the reflects the thinking of title music fro Robert Schumann; finally,talk about Schumann music philosophy expounded in " carnival" embodied in the theme of" carnival" one, do the analysis in simple terms.
