The Important Role Of Baritone In Verdi’s Operas

As a baritone, I will extend the important role of baritone in Verdi’s operas by performing arias in Verdi’s operas. By studying the document literature, I found that the use of baritone for Verdi was far different from other composers’so I will prove the originality, characteristics and function from the aspects of Verdi’s life, his characteristics of creation, development of baritone and the different baritones in different composers.I can not only get more professional knowledge from writing this thesis, but also get some further information about the creation characteristics of other composers. All of these can make me understand and taste operas deeply and provide other singers some theoretic knowledge.By the definition and classification of baritone, the characteristics of Verdi’s operas creation and the analysis the proposition of verism and nationalism, this thesis discriminates Verdi’ baritone and other baritones carefully, compares the definition and characters precisely and finally prove that how can baritone get the important role in Verdi’s operas.
