The most important and prominent manifestation in Tang Dynasty’s poetry theory isShi ge, so Tang Dynasty’s poetry theory is mainly based on Shige. In the early times ofTang Dynasty, the content of Shige’s theory is mainly about rhythm, antithesis, Bing fan,and form of characters of letters. Throughout the beginning of the Tang Dynasty,modern style poetry grown up and became well developed. Compared with modernstyle poetry, archaic poetry itself became well developed too. In the process of modernstyle poetry’s becoming well developed, poets summarized their creative experience andformed the regular poetry art in modern style poetry. This kind of skill facilitate thepopularization of modern style poetry in some way, which makes the rule of writingsummarized. On the other hand, theory and practice together make the Tang Poetrybecome popularThis thesis is divided into four parts: the first part is introduction, which is about thegeneral situation of Shige in the beginning of Tang Dynasty, the research method andresearch significance.The second part mainly discusses the formation, development andstage characteristics of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. In the early period of Tangdynasty, Shige reaches a peak. There are two reasons: on the one hand it is the result ofthe poetry development itself, on the other hand it is the summary of rhythm, antithesis,Bing fan, and form of characters of letters, which enriches the theory. During thehundred years’ time, culture policy is all-embracing and open. Under this background,poetry creation develops in the positive direction. What’s more, the inheritance anddevelopment of poetory theory makes a great contribution to the Guti poetry’sdevelopment and mordern poetry’s formation. There are three reasons contribute to itsdevelopment. One is the prosperity of Tang poetory provides sufficient material forpoetry reasearch; the second reason is the imperial examination with poetry and proseneeds certain standards. the third reason is the actual need of school beginners. Itsstage characteristics are listed as follows: first, since the poetory study of six dynasties, itopens the Shige of middle and late Tang, the five dynasties and the early periodSong. Second, the interaction of poetic creation and poetic theory. Third, compare theshige in early Tang to the shige in the glorious age of Tang poetry, in order to see the inheritance of shige and the developing process of poetory theory. It first compares theshige in early Tang to the shige in the glorious age of Tang from“the skill of poetry”and“the way of poem”. Then it presents the similarity from form, content and aestheticconcepts. At last, it compares the difference between the poetry content and poetry’ssystem and form. The comoaration can see the developing process of Tang’sshige. The fourth part expresses the evaluation and influence of Tang’s shige. Theevaluations to Tang’s shige are different. Tang’s shige have a great influence to the nextdynasties.The forms and samples formed in early Tang are an extremely important partof Tang’s poetory.The Complimentary Close makes a whole conclusion....
