In the introduction the author expounds the value and significance ofchoosing topic and stating it,Ganye poems in the early and flourishing ages of Tang Dy-nasty.Compared with the middle and late ages of Tang Dynasty, the scholar's Ganye andtheir Ganye poems in the early and flourishing ages of Tang Dynasty have a unique charac-teristics. This thesis starts with the exploration of the basic reason recommendation for itspopularity through various systems of imperial examination selection of officials, transferand emperor's cabinet. Then the author analyses the reason for its appearance from twoaspects content of examination and functional shift of poems.In the second chapter, according to the purpose of Ganye, Ganye poems can be di-vided into four categories, the poems on ascendence to officialdom through imperial exami-nation, recommendation appointment, transfer and emperor's cabinet.In the third part, the author combines the content characteristics of Ganye Poemswith the scholar's mentality. And studies the unique characteristics of Ganye Poems andGanye in the early and flourishing ages of Tang Dynasty from three aspects: the impera-tive mentality caused by their self-confidence, calm mentality caused by their pursuit ofperfect personality and self-supression mentality caused by constrained personality.In the last part, the author expounds the artistry of Ganye poems from threepoints─a type of psychological art,Ganye and Yongwu and rhetoric devices of Ganye.
