Listening lessons are indispensable when Thai students learn Chinese. The practice of listening skills exerts important effects on improving one’s language ability. However, because of the limitation of teaching opinions and teaching methods, listening is not separated as an independent lesson. It leads to many Thai students’failure to develop Chinese listening ability, even resulting in listening anxiety. Therefore, in order to make far-reach thinking in teaching Chinese in Thailand, this article does not only combine teaching theories and self-experience, but also compares learning Chinese in Thailand to teaching Chinese for foreigners. In addition, based on surveys and researches, it analyses the limitations for improving Chinese listening and proposes corresponding solutions and examples. Therefore, the researcher used Burapha University’s cases in teaching Chinese to foreiners as examples in this thesis. This article contains four parts, including introduction, main body, epilogue and appendix. Specifically, the main body is divided into the five following chapters. For chapter1, it discusses about the importance of listening in Chinese-teaching. For chapter2, it surveys and interviews teachers and students in Department of Chinese Language and Literature, summarizing the current situation of Chinese-teaching in Thai universities and introspecting the dilemma. For chapter3, it optimizes the patterns of listening-teaching, makes class-design and applies it to teaching. For chapter4, it offers the strategy of reform based on extant problems and self-experiences.
