With the development of society and the progress of science and technology,changing people’s way of life and social concept, reflecting the social events and socialpsychological buzzwords continue to produce, and is widely applied to people’s dailylife and various media. Popular language is in a given period, a range of generallyaccepted by the people indulge in elaborating on, and repeated use and popular words,phrases, sentences and sentence groups, its emergence and development are closelyrelated to social life. The news popular language refers to the newspaper, TV, radio,Internet and other media in a certain period of time or within a certain range, rapidprevalence appears repeatedly and widely spread of words, phrases, sentences andsentence groups. Popular language in news can reflect and highly summarize the year’sdomestic policy initiatives, and social event, a focus of public attention as well asinternational amidst the winds of change. Changes of different annual news languagecan reflect the social changes and the changes of the mass psychology. The newspopular language is a special social phenomenon with the characteristics of the times,social life and its changes reflect directly. It is accompanied by human languagedevelopment, with its profound social and cultural connotations, vivid language formactive in daily life, and spread the prevalent. Produce, development and social lifewhich is closely linked, is a hot spot in language phenomenon, so the news popularlanguage study more and more government departments and research institutions payattention.This paper tries to release through nearly ten years of domestic newspapers andnetwork news media catchwords as research object, combining the advantages anddisadvantages of the popular newspapers and magazines and web publishing, startingfrom the synchronic and diachronic two angles, comparative study and description ofthe longitudinal.Of course, due to the subjective and objective conditions, notcomprehensive, not deep,may not be accurate. But I believe that with the popularlanguage to study domestic news unceasingly thorough, the news popular languagewill bring us more and more rich connotation.
