The harp, as a plucked string instrument with a long history, not only takes the role of color instrument accompaniment in the orchestra, but also shows its unique charm with the sounds of nature on the solo stage.In the harp performance,with cooperation and regulation through parts of upper extremity limb, which means shoulder, arm elbow, wrist, palm and fingers, the player can change tone, improve performance skills and rich the performing style in order to show more comprehensive interpretation for musical works in different times and different style. With the combination of personal experience in harp-practice for years and years of playing experience in learning works, this paper will take analysis and summary on the influence of the upper limb movements in harp performance.In this paper, the three chapters followed will discuss the influence of the upper limb movements on the harp performance. The first chapter is about all parts of the upper limb basic movement and performance effect, the second chapter will discuss the practical application of the upper limb in the harp performance, in the third chapter, the relationship between upper limb posture and visual beauty will be discussed.Through the discussion of the above three chapters, the importance of upper limb in harp performance will be emphasized.
