In the1990s,the corpus technology was rapidly developing,which has becoming the important resources and technology. To promote the accuracy of dictionaries,we can take advantage of the corpus and take the quantitative and the qualitative research methods. this paper studies the meaning items of five representative words (Na, La, Wa, Reng and Ba) in the human upper limb motion semantic field and it puts forward some feasible suggestions to address the definition problems.The first part introduces the current research status, background and development trend of dictionary style.We study the characteristics of Chine se dictionaries and English dictionaries,based on which it summaries inspir ation from aspects of entries,paraphrase,vocabulary expantion and frequenc y tagging.The second part is from part one to part five and they successively study the five study objectives. We take30153statistics of Na about2,563,282-word,advicing delete one of the definitions and add eight meaning items; we take32402statistics of La about1,687,214-word,advicing change one of the definitions and add four meaning items; we take13855statistics of Wa about724,221-word,advicing add three meaning items; we take7858statistics of Reng about654,995-word,advicing add three meaning items; we take18859statistics of Ba about1,572,194-word,advicing add three meaning items;The third part draws conclusions on the interpretation of the five study objects and trise to summarize the rule of distribution.
