Mad And Foolish Image Research Of Chinese Novels In New Period

In the new period novels, mad and foolish image is the object of studyin the literature field what has great value. These mad and foolish images as irrationalrepresents fight with the real world, rebellion to the culture tradition of oppresshumanity, it is the main content of mad and foolish images writing in the new periodnovel. This paper except the introduction and conclusion, is divided into three parts.Firstly, delimit the concept of madness and fool, and clarify the background ofChinese and Western culture, the changes of mad culture and mad image.Secondly, based on the novels in the new period, analyze the images of madnessand fool. The image of madness is divided into three categories: victims of politicalpressure, enlighteners of promoting rational and fugitives of crushing reality, mainlyto show what the real society of oppression and cruelty of human nature.The imagesof fool is also divided into three categories: victims of refracted into human nature,prophet of not really silly and kind person having quality of pristine,mainly to show anew interpretation of history and calling the human nature.Thirdly, this paper focus on the new period novels writing spirit connotation andthe evolvement of mad and foolish image.The first section will from the genetic needsof society and the external environment,the requirement of the literature realism andthe narrative freedom of the image,discussing the cause of images’s writing.Thesecond section will from the reason repression and irrational salvation, materialismdistortions and destruction of human nature, scrutiny and criticism of culturaltradition,elaborating spiritual connotation of mad image in new period.In addition,due to the multivariate of creative thinking and change of creative methods,writers inthe chang of literary genre,mad and foolish images in novels have differentcharacteristics.These image in the change of literary genre,the change of spiritualconnotation and how such changes occur.This is an important research problem of thispaper.
