Geling Yan is one of the most famous Chinese writer, who lives in American. Her works are defined as a "she" Writing in the cultural conflict, showing rich ideological connotations. This paper attempts to study in the way of overseas Chinese literature and women's literature, focuse on comprehending Geling Yan's women image analysis, reveal its essence of the concept and female perspective hidden behind, trying to explore the position of this new migration women in cultural conflict, and put overseas Chinese writing of women into the world literature.This paper is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is about Geling Yan's unique experience and works on female image types in her novels. Immigrants and the Cultural Revolution turmoil in the life experiences created Geling Yan's complex cultural identity, enable her to think about the female essence in a new angle. Geling Yan told us the story of a series of Chinese women in the background of Cultural Revolution and immigrants create a variety of female image.Chapter two is divided into three parts to reveal the spiritual content hidden behind the image of women image. Geling Yan's images of the women had a powerful force to survive in the harsh environment. Faced with the conflict of survival and dignity , they made a stern and flexibility struggle. Inthe process of the struggle, she is focusing on good quality: She confrontation with the reality of women's alienation, save the decline of humanity in the name of love. Geling Yan's even used the novel to create for female a natural state of survival. In this way, she want to avoid the reality of women become secondary.Chapter three is about Geling Yan's female perspective: Female should live as forceful as men, women and men are both primary. This instinct is a force not knowing, and does not boast, pro-male forces of nature. Ideal woman is not a one who is live to pleasing a man, but is the one who was to be pleased. This view of women is come from traditional Chinese culture, which is the reproduction of "Yin-Yang fish" .Its formation was traced to Geling Yan's Identity of immigration. Living beside the Western society as "marginalized" ,Geling Yan's choose to write as a means to restore and establish self-image.
